As I sit here pedaling at the gym and play on my blackberry I am enjoying the calm before the storm that should be arriving next week! I hope that the wedding that we have been working on goes smoothly next Saturday! We have certainly had a lot s*-t storms hit this past week yet I hope the worst is certainly over and I can now be excited to welcome a new son in law!!

We’re nearing the last of our roasted Hatch green chile batch from last season, down to a single quart.
It’s sad to see the last of the baggies pulled from the freezer, especially when it has been an particularly exceptional year. So tasty, so hot. We prepare it in a pretty simple manner. After peeling and chopping I’ll add some sea salt and pepper, and loads of garlic. A touch of water finishes it off. The seeds are integral to the taste, so they are never optional.
So, so good.

Geez, it took nearly 3 weeks into the nuevo ano for me to put up the year’s first post. And there’s been a lot going on! Like getting things ready for Shari & Darrell’s wedding, compiling a huge todo list for 2010, upgrading the CrackBerries, getting my ass kicked by the AMT100i, drooling over the Wrangler side steps I got for Christmas but haven’t installed yet, purchasing our first composter, watching Conan go off on NBC, etc. Man, tons of stuff to post about.
No, for some reason I’ve been too lazy to post anything. I’ll blame it on my depression for the lack of any exciting weather. God, New Mexico can be boring at times. Sun, blue skies, mild temperatures. Yuck. A blizzard would be nice for a change.
