About

What a long story this is! We met in 1983 in Tucumcari, New Mexico at Tucumcari High School. Lisa (a.k.a. Lisa White) was a cheerleader and Michael was a golfer and science fair geek! The two paths crossed on the weekends only. We had lots of fun yet never dated. Lisa graduated in 1985 and Michael graduated in 1986. We never saw each other again until 2001, 15 years later. We met up as friends for drinks a few times and kept in touch via email. A year later we found ourselves going through rough times. We became the best of friends through the rough times who could count on each other. Over time, the two best friends eventually fell in love.

We’d love to hear from you. Email us at mzanussi@gmail.com.

I just viewed your photos of the Caprock Amphitheatre. It is sad to see that place in such bad shape. I was part of the production of “Billy The Kid” during the 1990 season. It was one of the best summers ever. These photos brought back so many memories, including the horseback ride down the berm on “Cheesy” and singing, “O, Fair New Mexico” in bright red and yellow costumes!
