Summer weather seems to be here already! I sit back here in the backyard watching the tram go up the mountain and the dogs play. I think I’m ready to plant a garden!

to the age of 42 Mr. Zanussi! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have these past two months. So far it seems to be a pretty exciting age. I have discovered a few more grey hairs but I feel pretty fit since we have started going to the gym and now that we are working on the home improvements again we will both continue to be even more fit. Congratulations Michael on turning 42 first thing in the morning. You don’t look your age at all and I love you!!

Calm before the storm

As I sit here pedaling at the gym and play on my blackberry I am enjoying the calm before the storm that should be arriving next week! I hope that the wedding that we have been working on goes smoothly next Saturday! We have certainly had a lot s*-t storms hit this past week yet I hope the worst is certainly over and I can now be excited to welcome a new son in law!!

The Holidays…

Yes, once again the holidays are here! Now that the house is quiet from a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family and best friends, its nice to sit and enjoy the tree and get the rest of the Christmas cards out. It’s also a really nice feeling to know that our shopping is pretty much complete, thanks to a wonderful trip in September and other on-line shopping! I for one am ready to enjoy the rest of the holiday season relaxing and enjoying family and friends and the beautiful sights and sounds of New Mexico.

Yes, I’m still in shock! I can’t believe we went from coast to coast in two weeks. What a great time. I think Michael should plan all of the vacations from now on. He did awesome and he can keep a secret really good. We are almost done with Christmas shopping, planning our Auntie Robin Thanksgiving and also planning a wedding right now, so we really needed that vacation. Thanks so much Hubby! You did an awesome job–can’t wait till next year!

I got it all figured out! I have received hints from Michael for the past few months and I have printed those hints out. I will give Michael the book of hints at the airport this Friday with the name of each place he has sent a picture of. Don’t you just love people that talk in their sleep?? hmmm……hope I’m right!

My first guess

The secret vacation is approaching and approaching fast. I think its time that I start guessing as to where we are going based on bits of information Michael is dropping.

Michael knows that I am happy anywhere we end up. I”m sure Michael put in some things that I like into this vacation so I know we are going to do some shopping and lots of walking. He said we will see boats, trains, planes and automobiles. My first guess of course will be New York! New York has all of those things as well as lots of shopping! I don’t see us in New York for two weeks, so I will have to put some more thought into where the second leg of our trip will be. I know it will be a car trip because Michael has kept the sattelite radio subscription active. So keep giving me hints Michael….I will have this figured out by the time we get on the plane (American Airlines flight number 1190 leaving ABQ on Sept. 4 @ 8:35 am stopping off in Chicago for a bit before heading to NY)

First Year!

What a fast year it has been too. I believe it has been fast for me because I am very happy. Lot’s of changes have happened this past year and I anticipate many changes in the next, but all good just like the first year. I love you Michael, thanks for being my best friend/husband. Happy first year anniversary.

I know Michael has been working/learning, but I have sure enjoyed relaxing, shopping, sleeping late, making friends with the other spouses while laying by the pool and of course sipping cocktails the whole time. You can’t get much better than this! I do worry that Oscar may be in charge at home, but we will have to deal with that later I suppose. I will continue to rest it up on this trip because it seems that we are always working on a house project back home. The day after we get home from Orlando, we will be going to a plant show to pick our plants for our very first garden. Then once the roots are good, we hope to paint the house to go with the garage door. All this and work full time too! Already a busy summer ahead.

A new addition

Yes, we have a new addition to the family. Michael’s new baby joined us this past Saturday. I’m sure he will post new pictures soon, like in his next post to this website!!

I must admit Jeeps are not what I thought they were. Michael’s new baby is so much fun!! I love driving it! Most of all, I had lots of fun watching Michael study up on new car buying and going into the dealership and coming out with a beautiful new car and he still had his dignity too. He did wonderful on dealing with the dealership and not letting them get the best of him and most importantly, he did not scream this time.
