We’re only supposed to get an inch or two Friday, but since we haven’t had much moisture this year, Lisa and I will take any amount at this point. Besides, it’s the holiday season… who wouldn’t want snow, and tons of it!

Lisa and I can’t remember the last time we had such tasty and hot roasted green chile like we picked up this year. Our only hope is that we bought enough to make it through the whole year this time — two 30 pound sacks. Our chile is from Lemitar, not Hatch like we normally get, and it’s been absolutely incredible. So so yummy.

I’ve finally found time to post some pics from our Lake Tahoe trip, here they are. The problem with digital cameras is you end up taking thousands of shots and have to sort through them all, and that takes time! That’s why they invented “blowing off class” to take care of such tasks.

That’s how much rain Albuquerque has had since January. It’s been a miserable summer. It’s been very hot, upper 90s for about 2 months now. Windy, windy, windy. Fires everywhere. Here’s a shot of the Sandia Mountains from our backyard:

Well, tonight it finally rained, and not just a 5 minute New Mexico rain, but a good, soaking hour-long monsoon downpour:

Let’s hope we get more of this.
